Collection: Oil Paintings

Landscapes, Still Lifes, Portraits, Windows, Dogs, it doesn't take much to inspire me to paint..  When I paint, I use bold, intense colors, sometimes pushing the image into abstract.  I want my oils to be windows on the wall to look into and relax.

Oil painting is so immediate, the colors so vibrant.  Just put color on a brush and watch it instantly take form on a canvas.  It is the media that I can quickly jump into and work.  I create art for the same reason and with the same intensity that I garden.  There is a peacefulness in the simple act of doing, being distracted into a solitude and quiet of my own act of expression.  It's the total observation of the subject in front of me and getting enough paint on the canvas to let it guide me along, even if I struggle to its completion..
